A little history about Gümüşsuyu

Named « silver water » from a rumoured Ottoman-era mine, Gümüşsuyu is known for its elegant streets and historical significance. It was once home to Ottoman elites and early Turkish governmental buildings. Today, it’s a prestigious neighbourhood with luxury hotels and proximity to key landmarks.

Visit Istiklal Avenue, just a short walk from Gümüşsuyu, lined with shops, cafes and historical buildings. Don’t miss the St Anthony of Padua Church for its beautiful Neo-Gothic design.

Take the historic Tünel funicular up to Galata Tower. Enjoy panoramic views of Istanbul from the top of this mediaeval stone tower.

Wander through Galata neighbourhood to spot beautiful street art adorning the building walls and visit the Galata Mevlevi House Museum for a bit of Whirling Dervishes history.

Head back to your Ando Living Gümüşsuyu House to freshen up and prepare for the evening ahead. Time to sample the delicious wine from your welcome kit for an aperitivo overlooking the Bosphorus.
