A little history about Liberdade

Originally designed in the 19th century, Avenida da Liberdade was inspired by the grand boulevards of Paris. It was named after the Portuguese word for “liberty” to celebrate the liberal movements in Portugal. Today, it’s lined with high-end shops, theatres, and beautiful gardens, reflecting its rich history and contemporary elegance.
